Helpful Hobbies

Helpful Hobbies is a program designed to bring Seniors in our community together to socialize and benefit those we serve.

With its own designated hobby room in our newly renovated building, our seniors have everything they need to feel at home while crafting, sewing and knitting.

We also have a variety of workshops and events during the year.

For more information or how to get involved call 403-320-8779

S.E.R.V.E. Committee

Seniors Engaging in Rewarding Experiences
S.E.R.V.E. Committee (Seniors Engaging in Rewarding Volunteer Experiences) brings seniors together to socialize around their hobbies and to use their hobbies to benefit those we serve.

Drop in every second Tuesday with your hobby and be rewarded by building relationships, teaching others your craft and helping Interfaith Food Bank, and other charity groups.

We also host workshops specific to current needs; such as making aprons, learning to sew/knit/crochet,  or any other hobby you are interested in learning about.

Upcoming Dates
Every second Tuesday from 9:30AM to 12:00PM we gather together to socialize and work on individual projects.

We also work on group projects and plan annual craft sales and maker markets and use our hobbies to benefit the Interfaith Food Bank. Projects such as heat bags, re-useable shopping bags, dish cloths and more.

Volunteers plan and lead workshops for anyone to come and learn a new hobby and skill.

We have a dedicated space to visit and craft with all the supplies and equipment available for use. This space is provided for community use at no charge on the workshop days.

To find out what workshops and projects are coming up follow us on social media: Facebook and Instagram.
