Group Volunteer Request

Looking for a meaningful way to give back as a team? Interfaith Food Bank welcomes businesses, schools, community groups, and organizations to volunteer together. Group opportunities include food sorting, hamper assembly, donation drives (click to read about hosting a fundraiser on our behalf), and special projects—perfect for team-building while making a tangible impact. Whether it’s a one-time visit or an ongoing partnership, your group’s time and energy help us support thousands of people in need.

Please provide a minimum of two weeks’ notice for group requests, which allows us to plan engaging volunteer activities and ensure we have the space, staff, and resources needed to make your visit both smooth and impactful.

FAQ:

We kindly ask for two weeks’ notice for all group requests so we can prepare meaningful volunteer tasks and ensure we have the space, staff, and resources to make your experience a success

Planning to bring a large group? For groups of 20 or more, we may require additional notice in order to create a safe, organized, and enjoyable day for everyone involved.

We welcome young volunteers ages 5–15 to join us and make a difference in the community! To ensure a safe, fun, and well-supervised experience, we ask that there is at least one adult for every five children. This ratio allows adults to provide guidance, support, and encouragement while kids learn the value of teamwork and giving back.

By volunteering together, families and youth groups can create meaningful experiences that are both enjoyable and impactful.

Our food bank’s regular operating hours are 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  While most shifts take place weekdays during the day, some evening and weekend options may be arranged upon request. It’s a great way to make a collective impact while giving back together!
