You CAN Make A Difference

This Christmas season Interfaith Food Bank is partnering with the Lethbridge Food Bank, Salvation Army, Lethbridge Family Services Angel Tree and My City Care Shop of Wonders to ensure that every family in our community that requests assistance for Christmas gets the help they need. By working together, we can maximize resources and limit duplication of services. Resources we receive at Christmas time will also help in planning our activities in the year to come. Here are some ways you can help!

Interfaith Food Bank Christmas Programs : IFB Christmas Programs 2019

Choose to adopt a family this Christmas, and do their shopping for them! Donors contact Interfaith Food Bank and we will provide the age and gender of each family member. Donors purchase all necessary supplies, then drop off their bundle of cheer at Interfaith for us to distribute to your adopted family. For more info: Adopt A Family 2019 (5)

Interfaith Food Bank is proud to have been selected as a participating charity for the Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink program at the Shaw Charity Classic that takes place at Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club in Calgary August 28—September 1.

We will be promoting our involvement with Birdies for Kids throughout the summer, and encourage our existing donors to participate.  For every dollar we raise, up to 50% will be matched by the Calgary Shaw Charity Classic Foundation!  This can turn a $50 pledge to Interfaith Food Bank into a $75 contribution!

Make a one-time flat donation, or a pledge for each birdie made by PGA Champions Tour players during the 2019 Shaw Charity Classic.

Select Interfaith as your charity of choice when you give online, or issue regular donation cheques to Calgary Shaw Charity Classic Foundation, indicating Interfaith Food Bank on the subject line until August 28, 2019.

For more information, connect with our office or visit our website for the link to participate!

In March 2018, almost 1.1 million Canadians accessed food banks in one month.  In 2018, Interfaith Food Bank provided food for approximately 1500-1600 citizens in Lethbridge per month, nearly half of whom are children.  Individual Canadians can take action to help solve the problem of hunger in Canada.  You can make a difference.

Interfaith Food Bank Society of Lethbridge relies heavily upon donations of food, funds, and gifts in kind from within our community.  We are only able to give what we receive.
