We are pleased to announce that Interfaith Food Bank Society of Lethbridge has been included in Charity Intelligence (Ci)’s Top 10 Impact: Canadian Food Banks of 2021. We are very proud of this achievement!

Inclusion in a Top Impact Charities list is based on the amount of demonstrated impact that charities had on clients and society in the past year. This is measured using the Ci demonstrated Social Return on Investment (dSROI) framework, which can be found on the Charity Intelligence Canada website. In 2021 they assembled 7 different lists of Top Impact Charities, including an overall Top 10 plus additional lists by sub-categories. Each list includes the 5 or 10 charities that were analyzed and demonstrated the highest value created per dollar spent in the given category. https://www.charityintelligence.ca/charity-profiles/top-10-impact-charities.

FBC Food Banking Excellence Award 2013In June 2013, we received the Excellence in Food Banking Award from Food Banks Canada which honored the top three food banks from across the country (small, medium and large) for their efforts in providing services beyond emergency food support.

Interfaith Food Bank has been honoured with several awards from the Better Business Bureau for business ethics over the last years. The BBB Torch Awards (as they are now called) highlight businesses that regularly utilize ethical, responsible and value-based business practices. We are very grateful to be nominated for this type of award.

As a non-profit charity organization which relies on the generosity of community members, we know how important it is for our donors to trust that we operate responsibly. Without this support from the residents of Lethbridge and area we would not be able to continue with our programs and services.  To receive such awards is a testament of the community’s acknowledgement of the value of our services to struggling community members.
