Interfaith Learning Garden provides a wide range of activities in summer months both related to the garden, and beyond normal gardening activities. We teach workshops related to our Food Recovery Program, as well as activities made for specifically for fun!

Button Making and Flower Pressing Workshop

August 6 | 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Join us in our garden and learn how to dry and press flowers and other leaves, along with making some creative and fun buttons either using the pressed flowers or with fun drawings!

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Donations gratefully accepted.

Canning Workshop

Join us in our Co-Op Kitchen and learn how to can and jam as we make fresh Jam out of raspberries harvested from our gardens. Keep a jar for yourself and make a jar for the community! Limited Slots available (10). Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Candle Making Workshop

August 27 | 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Join us as we make your own candles, learn how to melt wax and set wicks in this creative activity. Limited Slots available.  Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Garden Yoga

Come relax and enjoy guided yoga in our garden. Spare Yoga Mats are available but bring your own if you have one.

Celebrate the first day of summer by creating your own eco-friendly bird feeder using recycled materials. Discover the best spots to hang your feeder and learn about the feathered friends you might spot around Lethbridge. This outdoor activity takes place in the Learning Garden and all materials are provided. Fun, educational, and perfect for nature lovers of all ages! Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

National Garden Day Party

June 13 | 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM

This event is in conjunction with National Garden Days and will take place in the Interfaith Learning Garden. We invite community members to enjoy a free BBQ lunch to enjoy in our lovely outdoor space. There will be crafts, games, and activities for both kids and adults to enjoy.

String Art

June 25 | 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Come learn how to make unique works of art using string and nails. This activity is fun for all ages, but does require the use of a hammer and nails to begin the activity. We plan to be outside in the garden to draw inspiration from around us for our garden themed art!
